3rd Northern Ghana SRHR Conference (NORGHA 2019) to host minimum of 500 participants-NORSAAC Executive Director
The 2018 Northern Ghana SRHR conference for young people ended with great enthusiasm from partners. The National House of Chiefs was very excited to be part of the conference and to receive the conference paper.
Mr. Mohammed Abdul Muhaimin, a representative from the Northern Regional House of Chiefs thanked NORSAAC and its partners for using the conference to empower young people across Northern Ghana. He assured the young people that the Northern Regional House of Chiefs shall do their best to come out with strategies to curb the negative sociocultural practices that affect the SRHR of young people.
Mrs. Agnes Loriba, a programmes manager at CARE international and a member of the CSOs platform on the SDGs in the northern Region assured the young people that the platform would push the petition presented to the house of chiefs.
On his part, the Executive Director of NORSAAC, Mr. Alhassan Mohammed Awal urged the young people to trickle down the exposure they got at the conference. He also assured the public that, NORGHA 2019 would host a minimum of 500 participants. He further called for more partnership and sponsorship in order to mobilize the needed resource to realize the set target
